Astronomy 210 students at Cuesta College using flashcards in a peer instruction ("think-pair-share") interactive learning environment. Instructor sees feedback from student responses to a multiple-choice question; if responses are only 30%-70% correct, then students are given "about a minute" to explain to a neighboring student why they chose their response, before responding with flashcards again.
