For 0 s ≤ t ≤ 7 s, the bounded area can be broken up into a triangle with an adjacent square:
∆x = (1/2)·(5 s)·(2 m/s) + (2 s)·(2 m/s),
∆x = 5 m + 4 m = 9 m.
For 7 s ≤ t ≤ 10 s, the bounded area can be broken up into a rectangle with a triangle atop it:
∆x = (2 s)·(3 m/s) + (1/2)·(3 s)·(2 m/s),
∆x = 6 m + 3 m = 9 m.
