Wire cutters brought closer to enlarge its angular size, but much closer than the near point of the camera lens (focused at infinity to simulate a relaxed eye). A magnifying glass is then placed in front of the camera lens to project a virtual image of this wire cutters out at infinity, which subsequently becomes an object for the camera lens to be able to focus on.
